The Role
We are recruiting a Maintenance Technician to join the on-site facilities team at a large industrial location. This is a hands-on role covering general building, plant, and equipment maintenance as part of the Engineering & Technical Services function.
You’ll be responsible for reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and general site support across multiple buildings and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out repairs and maintenance across buildings and industrial systems
Supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
Responding to equipment and site issues efficiently
General facilities and grounds-related maintenance tasks
Working safely and in line with site procedures and standards
Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
Full UK driving licence
Proven facilities or building maintenance experience
Physically capable of manual work, including:
Standing, walking, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders
Lifting and carrying loads of 50 lbs / 23kg+
Ability to follow work routines and safety standards
Clear communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Organised, methodical, and able to work independently

Fixed-term assignment with a major FM provider
Stable site-based role within an established engineering team
This is a practical maintenance role. If you don’t have real facilities experience or can’t handle physical work, it’s not for you.
