Job Description
As a Catering Assistant, you’ll join a dynamic, fast‑paced team where your individuality is valued and your hard work is recognised. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering great service and wants to progress in a supportive setting.
This position is 25 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days, with a mix of day, evening, and weekend shifts. You must hold a full driving licence. You’ll also benefit from two weeks off at Christmas.
Please note: Previous bar work experience is required.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Serving customers with confidence, warmth, and professionalism
- Creating eye‑catching food and counter displays that draw customers in
- Representing Defence with pride and embodying our positive brand image
- Handling transactions efficiently using our cashless till system
- Stocking and maintaining vending machines to a high standard
- Upholding the highest levels of Food Handling & Hygiene
- Supporting a safe and healthy workplace by following Health & Safety regulations
- Carrying out general cleaning duties to maintain a tidy, welcoming environment
