- to thrive on accuracy and excel in fast-paced environments
- excellent customer service and teamworking skills

- ability to navigate tricky situations and resolve conflicts.
You can view a full list of requirements in the Job and Person Profile (Word). If you believe you can succeed in this role, apply. Even if you don't meet all requirements, still apply. We would appreciate the opportunity to consider your application.
In addition to this role, you will also have the opportunity to take on a zero-hour Weekend Ceremony contract if you choose to. This is paid at £14.82 per hour.
The additional contract would include conducting and registering civil ceremonies across the county at weekends and bank holidays. Ceremonies are held in a wide range of locations including our own local authority rooms, stately homes, golf and country clubs, barns and in other unusual locations. You would also be required to register some marriages and civil partnerships in religious buildings. The role includes meeting couples and preparing scripts and other associated paperwork relating to ceremony management.
The team
- The Registration Services team are spread across the whole county providing support to those registering a birth, death, notification of marriage or civil partnership
- Despite being spread across the county, we have a ‘one team’ approach in all that we do to enable us to deliver a quality service to our customers and support each other.
- We are an inclusive team and always welcome ideas to adapt and improve the way we deliver.
