Head of Commercial Finance - FTC

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Commercial Finance to join our leadership team on a maternity cover basis. This is a high-impact role, partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business to drive performance, profitability and informed decision-making in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

You’ll lead the commercial finance function, providing insight, challenge and support across operations, marketing, and growth initiatives while ensuring robust financial planning and control.

Key responsibilities

Act as a trusted commercial partner to the executive and operational leadership teams
Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
Deliver clear, actionable performance reporting and commercial insight
Drive margin improvement, cost control and pricing strategies
Work closely with the FD and develop a Finance Business Partner
Ensure strong financial governance and collaboration with core finance teams

About you

Proven experience in a senior commercial finance role, ideally within hospitality, retail, leisure or a similarly fast-moving consumer-facing sector
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence at senior level
Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
Excellent communication skills — able to translate numbers into insight
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Why join us?

Opportunity to make a real impact in a fast moving and evolving hospitality business
Exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making
Competitive salary and benefits package

The role is designed for an interim who enjoys making an immediate impact — partnering with senior leaders on live commercial decisions, and working in a hands-on, commercially focused environment where insight and challenge are valued. This role is based 3 days a week in our offices in Kensington, London.
