Contract : Full time Permanent
Pay Scale: Grade 9 £29,540 - £32,061 per annumWinterbourne Academy are looking for a committed and flexible Lead Caretaker to join the busy team.
The Lead Caretaker is responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager in the safe and efficient running of all aspects of the daily facilities operation at the academy, including all aspects of site maintenance, non-structural repairs, heating, ventilation, safety, security and cleanliness. They will be responsible for the daily management of the lunchbreak supervision and Caretaking team and will be required to deputise in the absence of the Facilities Manager.
The successful candidate must have be able to work professionally and independently using initiative and thrive in a busy and demanding role. They will possess a range of practical skills in order to contribute to the general site maintenance and improvement works and be fit and able to cope with the physically challenging duties of a Site Supervisor and Lead Caretaker.
They will have a sound understanding of health and safety including COSHH, Risk Assessments. They will have excellent organisational/time management skills. They will be able to work logically, resourcefully, proactively, and efficiently. They will be a confident communicator and enjoy building and maintaining successful, professional relationships with colleagues and external parties and have a positive approach to providing excellent customer service. Experience as a supervisor and qualifications in Health and Safety are desirable.Please note that although the Job Description refers to Lettings teams, in this role at Winterbourne you will not have any responsibility for lettings, this is only relevant for other sites within The Olympus Academy Trust.
