Community Support Worker (Supported Living) - MioCare Group

Role Overview:
Being a Community Support Worker in MioCare’s Learning Disability Supported Living Service is rewarding and positively life-changing for everyone involved. If you are a values-driven person and are looking for a new challenge with a progressive organisation then we would love to hear from you.

Our multiple on-site teams provide 24-hour support in a variety of locations across Oldham. We offer bespoke packages to people with a learning and/or physical disability and enduring mental health problems either in a small, shared home or a larger property where residents live within self-contained accommodation. We work with individuals in a person-centred way, enabling them to maintain a safe and healthy lifestyle.

We are looking for caring, creative, energetic people to join our team. People with integrity and a drive to learn and further their own capabilities, contributing in turn to an outstanding service delivered alongside their colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To have a knowledge and understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults including those with a learning disability, autism, mental health and acquired brain injury to enable transferable skills across a number of sites.
  • To support and enable people who require assistance with personal care and physical tasks such as administering medication alongside emotional and spiritual wellbeing, while maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
  • To ensure the health and wellbeing of people we support through high-quality care, while reporting and recording concerns to the relevant people.
  • To maintain appropriate records and pass on any relevant information about people’s needs to your manager or other designated persons and ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection requirements.

About the MioCare Group:
MioCare is an Oldham Council-owned Community Interest Company, driven to deliver the best outcomes for the people we support and communities we serve. Visit our website to read more about our care and support services: miocare.co.uk
