Salary: £25,185 - £28,142
Work Pattern: Mon to Fri - Split Shift
Hours: 7.00am - 11.15am and 3pm - 6pm
Based: Delph New Road, Dobcross, Oldham OL3 5BP

Role Overview:
The Governors of the school are looking to appoint a school caretaker to ensure the smooth running and upkeep of our beautiful school premises.
Key Responsibilities:
As a School Caretaker, your duties will include:
- Maintaining clear, safe and secure school premises, which includes buildings and grounds.
- Carrying out cleaning, handyperson activities, routine maintenance and refurbishment, porterage, and minor repairs
- Some supervision of school cleaning staff
- Promoting health and safety around the school
We are looking for someone who:
- Has good knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Has strong practical skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks
- Is able to work flexibly, independently and as part of a team
- Has the ability to plan, organise and prioritise
- Is committed to upholding the values and ethos of our school community

About Us:
Our lovely primary school is looking to appoint a new Caretaker to join our friendly and supportive team.
We are seeking a reliable, practical and hardworking individual who takes real pride in their work, is able to work independently, and can manage their own time and tasks effectively.
The successful candidate will be confident with basic DIY and maintenance tasks and will help ensure our school site is safe, clean, secure and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.
This is a split-shift role, with a break in the middle of the day, making it well suited to someone who lives locally. The role is fixed term initially for 1 year, paid full year.
This position also offers exciting future potential, as it may lead to further opportunities to develop into a Site Manager role, working across two schools.
