Crynodeb

Dean Close Foundation is looking to appoint a passionate, skilled and caring Early Years practitioner to join our dedicated and supportive team in Dean Close Pre-Preparatory School. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic professional who is committed to providing high-quality early years education and nurturing each child’s development within a warm, stimulating and values-driven environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring that every child feels safe, valued and confident to explore, learn and flourish. Working closely with colleagues, parents and the wider school community, the role places a strong emphasis on positive relationships, inclusive practice and a child-centred approach to teaching and learning.

Beyond the classroom, the postholder will contribute to the wider life of the school and the Dean Close Foundation, supporting events, enrichment opportunities and whole-school initiatives. There will also be opportunities to take responsibility for a curriculum area, work closely with teaching assistants, and engage meaningfully in professional development.

This role would suit someone who is enthusiastic, reflective and collaborative, with a genuine love for early childhood education and a commitment to upholding and promoting the Christian ethos, values and future skills of the school. In return, we offer a welcoming, forward-thinking environment where staff are supported, valued and encouraged to grow professionally.

Dean Close Foundation are a values-driven organisation that fosters love, courage, and contribution. You’ll be part of a supportive team that encourages creativity, compassion, and collaboration.

Early applications are encouraged, and applicants may be invited to interview prior to the closing date. We encourage any applicants with the correct competencies to apply and if reasonable adjustment are needed to apply or undertake the role, please let us know.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if a suitable candidate is appointed before the closing date. We will request references for all shortlisted candidates prior to interview.
