MACS Childcare Practitioner Opportunity
Are you looking to make a difference in children’s lives and would like to learn new skills in an innovative child-led environment?
MACS are currently looking to recruit creative, caring, and motivated Childcare Practitioners to join our out of school care settings across East Renfrewshire and Glasgow.
We currently have various vacancies and hours available from Monday – Friday, working in the following areas:
• Clarkston
• Newton Mearns
• Scotstoun
*AM hours are 7.45am - 9am
*PM hours range from 2.45/3pm until 6pm, term time
The Role
The role of Childcare Practitioner at MACS is to provide quality experiences which are fun, stimulating and creative for the children in our care. You will also promote nurture, inclusion, individual choice, and support development and learning of all children in your care.
As a SSSC registered professional, you are expected to uphold the Codes of Work Practice and MACS values and mission statement by role modelling in a professional manner that fosters mutual respect and understanding the role.

Requirements of Care and Playful Learning Support Worker:
• SCQF Social Services (Children and Young People) Level 7 or equivalent
• Must be able to provide at least 1 Childcare Reference (out with family)
• Committed to continuous professional learning in line with regulatory bodies
• Registered or willing to register with SSSC and meet appropriate security and
reference checks
