At the University of St Andrews Nursery, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated and caring team. The University of St Andrews Nursery is seeking to recruit one Qualified Early Years Practitioner (EYP).
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and creative individual who is committed to delivering high-quality early learning and childcare. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and wellbeing of our nursery children by creating a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
At the University Nursery we offer our children a wide range of experiences and opportunities that will help them develop and flourish as they learn new skills through the play experience. The role of the EYP and wider Nursery staff will be to ensure a child centred approach in all aspects of the nursery. The EPYs will facilitate such opportunities and experience which will enables our children to make decisions and solve problems.

* While the role is paid on the University’s grade 2 salary scale (£25,353 per annum, £13.45 per hour) due to current market conditions, a supplement of 15% will be added bringing the overall annual salary to £29,156 which equates to an hourly rate of £15.46. The market supplement is subject to review with the University’s recognized Trade Unions, and if a decision is taken to remove or reduce the supplement, full consultation will take place before this is implemented.
