Job Title: Experienced Coachbuilder & Welder – Commercial Vehicles
Location: Willand, Devon
Salary: £35,000 per year
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled coachbuilder and welder to join our client who has a busy, well-equipped workshop in Willand. If you take pride in building and repairing commercial vehicles to a high standard, this is the role for you.
You will be working on a variety of commercial vehicles, including vans and bespoke chassis, fabricating, welding, and assembling structural and bodywork components.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate, weld (MIG/TIG) and assemble steel and aluminium vehicle bodywork
Build, repair, and modify chassis, frames, panels, and fittings
Read and work from technical drawings with precision
Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and finish
Collaborate with a skilled workshop team on complex projects
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience as a coachbuilder, fabricator, or vehicle welder
Skilled in MIG/TIG welding, metal fabrication, and panel work
Experience working on commercial vehicles or bespoke builds
Able to read technical drawings and work independently
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Relevant qualifications in welding, fabrication, or coachbuilding
