Job OverviewTo carry out repairs and manufacturing of carpentry jobs within M.O.D. areas and all covered by the OPC contract.
Main Duties
-Report daily at Foreman's office pick up daily work and ensuring these are signed by the client on completion of works.
-Ensure completion of carpentry works, tasks and duties allocated to you within given time limits, these include, repair/replacement of internal woodwork, including doors, windows, skirtings, floorboards, fitted kitchen/bathroom units, bath panels, roof access hatches and timber. Repair/replacement of external timber including eaves boarding, gates and fencing.
-Clean and remove all debris on completion.
-Advise foreman of potential problem areas discovered and of repetitive failures.
-Attending all emergencies required making all jobs safe even if they cannot be repaired.
-Provide own basic tools, request any stores or materials required.
-To provide assistance in all other areas of the contract, where deemed competent.
-Participate in ongoing training to maintain business requirements.
-Ensure that all equipment in his use is tested and within date.
-Comply with H&S requirements.
-Ad hoc duties as required, this job description is not mutually exclusive.
-Can be able to participate in an on-call roster.
This job description will be revised and amended if/when Locksmith training is carried out.
Responsibilities will vary according to the requirements of the business
What we are looking forFull apprenticeship or equivalent recognised qualifications
Must hold a valid B class driving licence.
