Hours - Monday - Friday 3.00 pm - 5.00 pm, term time. An additional 1 hour per week will be paid for planning and preparation time. Hours will increase to 6.00 pm once the club is registered with The Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW)
As the nominated Person in Charge (PIC) with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the after school club, providing a safe and stimulating play environment for the children attending the club. Whilst working in line with the standards set out by CIW (Care Inspectorate Wales) and Playworks Childcare Policies and Procedures managing a team of staff under your leadership.
The role of Club Manager includes -
Overseeing the day to day running of the club, setting up the club and cleaning at the end of the session.
Working in partnership with parents to plan for the individual needs and preferences of the children.
Providing opportunities for play and learning which encourage all areas of development, working with your team to plan and deliver these activities.
Ensuring that club is welcoming and friendly, while taking into account all health and safety issues.
Providing the children with a healthy and nutritious snack.
Ensuring that all the policies set out are adhered to at all times.
The successful applicant must hold a level 3 CCLD or Level 3 Playwork qualification, if you do not have a Playwork qualification, you must be willing to work towards achieving this. A minimum of 2 years experience working in a CIW regulated setting is essential. An Enhanced DBS check is required for the role.
