About the role:

At Footherley Hall we provide holistic care for 50 residents, including those living with dementia, in a warm, supportive environment guided by our values of compassion, dignity, and respect.

Your role as a senior care assistant

As a Senior Carer, you’ll play a vital role in making every day the best it can be for our residents. You’ll lead by example, supporting and guiding the care team to deliver compassionate, person-centred care that promotes dignity, comfort, and independence. At the same time, you’ll uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ensuring safe, consistent, and high-quality care. You’ll also build warm, respectful relationships with families, visitors, and healthcare professionals, so that every resident feels valued, supported, and truly at home.

Lead and support the care team to deliver care that meets each resident’s unique needs.
Write, update, and review digital care plans, making sure they reflect residents’ choices and preferences.
Administer and manage medication safely and responsibly.
Assist residents with personal care, mobility, and daily living needs.
Welcome new residents with kindness and care, helping them settle into their new home.
Lead meaningful handovers so every resident’s care is consistent and personal.
Mentor, supervise, and encourage colleagues, ensuring they feel confident and supported.
Work closely with families and healthcare professionals to ensure the very best outcomes for residents.
Ensure confidentiality and dignity for all residents.
Promote a positive, respectful, and safe environment for all residents and staff.
What we are looking for

A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of older people.
Experience in creating, updating, and reviewing digital care plans that reflect individual needs and preferences.
An NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or above
An understanding of current care standards and relevant legislation.
Experience administering medication safely and confidently.
At least 12 months experience leading or supervising a care team in an elderly residential setting.
Confidence with IT and digital systems.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, as part of a supportive team.
Driver with access to a vehicle
