As a Part-time Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioural development. Your primary focus will be to work closely with our clients' students, guiding them to navigate the challenges they face and empowering them to reach their full potential.

In this rewarding role, you will collaborate with our clients' teaching staff, pastoral care team, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to supporting the students' well-being. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions, tailored to the individual needs of each student
- Developing and implementing effective behaviour management strategies, with a focus on positive reinforcement and restorative practices
- Offering pastoral support and a listening ear to students, helping them to express their feelings and concerns in a safe and non-judgmental environment
- Working closely with parents/carers to understand the unique challenges faced by each student and to develop strategies for consistent support across home and school
- Maintaining detailed records and contributing to the development of individualised behaviour support plans
- Liaising with other professionals, such as social workers, educational psychologists, and mental health specialists, to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting the students' needs
- Promoting and modelling positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional regulation techniques
- Participating in regular training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in behaviour management and student support

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A relevant qualification in a field such as education, psychology, social work, or youth work
- Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational or youth support setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students, parents/carers, and colleagues
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a solution-focused approach
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the diverse and changing needs of the students
- A deep understanding of child and adolescent development, as well as the factors that can impact behaviour and well-being
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of the students

In return, our client offers a competitive salary of £20-24 per hour, as well as the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be part of a dedicated team passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.

If you are an individual who is driven to support the personal and academic growth of students, and you possess the skills and experience required for this role, we encourage you to apply.
