About the role:
At Footherley Hall we provide holistic care for 50 residents, including those living with dementia, in a warm, supportive environment guided by our values of compassion, dignity, and respect.
Your role as a care assistant
As a part-time care assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of our residents during the day. You’ll ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, while helping them enjoy meaningful and fulfilling days. You’ll provide essential care and support, working closely with colleagues to make sure every resident receives the attention they need.
Provide person-centred care to our residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing.
Support with personal care, mobility assistance and daily living activities.
Assist residents to engage in meaningful daytime activities.
Maintain accurate records of care provided.
Work closely with colleagues and senior staff to ensure continuity of care.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Maintain a calm, reassuring presence throughout the day.
Ensure confidentiality, dignity, and respect for all residents.
What we are looking for
A caring, compassionate, and patient approach
Reliability and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication and teamwork skills
Experience using a mobile phone or tablet to record care notes
6 months' experience working in elderly residential care
Driver with access to a vehicle
