Are you ready to shape the future of digital healthcare? We’re seeking a Apprentice Training Officer to deliver impactful training across the Trust. This is your chance to combine leadership, technical insight, and a passion for education in a role that truly makes a difference.

With the support of our Training & Development officers you will:
• Deliver digital systems training courses to staff across the Trust, following structured lesson plans and schedules
• Evaluate software upgrades, update documentation, and escalate development needs when required
• Promote digital systems and respond to training-related enquiries
• Adapt training delivery to meet the needs of a 24/7 organisation, supporting project rollouts and fellow trainers
• Occasionally assist with IT equipment setup and liaise with the IT Helpdesk for software installations
• Support the creation of training manuals and help guides for Group-wide use

As part of this role, you will be able to complete the Learning and Skills Teacher Level 5 Apprenticeship. This nationally recognised qualification will equip you with advanced teaching and learning skills tailored to professional environments.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating and delivering engaging training materials - from lesson plans and user guides to videos and eLearning. You’ll lead face-to-face and virtual sessions, provide floorwalking support, and ensure staff feel confident using Core Systems like Lorenzo, NHS e-RS, BadgerNet and ORMIS.

You’ll work closely with Training and Development Officers and be supported to:
• Motivate and coach users across all levels
• Assess performance and provide tailored feedback
• Evaluate software upgrades and update training content
• Plan and organise training sessions and inductions
• Maintain IT equipment and ensure accurate data setup
• Contribute to policy development and promote best practices

This role requires strong people skills, a focus on process-based training, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility is key, as you’ll support a 24/7 organisation across hospital and community sites.

The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community Partnership arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.

Made up of two Trusts - Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) - our Partnership has significant ambitions and is committed to delivering world-class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.

Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff. Our five main hospital sites are Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole and District Hospital, for NLAG and Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for HUTH.

As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery and oncology.

We believe that by developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled and caring workforce, we can deliver excellent care to our patients and a great future for our employees, our Partnership and our community.
