What skills and experience we're looking for

Sheepscombe Primary School is a small, happy and thriving school set in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold village, proud to live up to our motto to offer ‘an inspirational setting where all children flourish.’

Ofsted- December 2024 – ‘Sheepscombe Primary School has taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection.’ The previous inspection (March 2019): good in all areas.

The Sheepscombe School community are looking for a Headteacher (with a teaching commitment of 0.4 FTE) who will:

•bring the drive, ambition and enthusiasm to build on the strengths of our school(such as dedicated and skilled staff, well-established but adaptable curriculum with awide range of enrichment activities, and highly inclusive family ethos)

•have a child-centred, inclusive approach and care about every child developing totheir full potential

•be fully committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and staff

•be an inspirational communicator to all stakeholders

•develop and maintain relationships with local schools and partnerships to aid futurestrategic decisions to benefit the staff, children and parents

•continue to develop the quality of education so that pupil attainment and progress ishigh, including for the most disadvantaged children

•have a keen strategic vision, be adaptable and forward looking

•build on the school’s tradition in providing broad experiential learning opportunitiesfor all our children that enable them to flourish

Our preferred days for a visit are Monday 26th January all day, Wednesday 28th January 1-3pm, Monday 2nd February all day and Thursday 5th February 1-3pm.
