What skills and experience we're looking for
Lowfield Primary School is situated close to the city centre. It is a friendly, continually improving school which serves a diverse and multi-ethnic community. The school currently has 408 pupils on roll.
The Governors at Lowfield Primary School are seeking to appoint a part-time, Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and experienced Inclusion team, supporting a small group of FS2 children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
The role involves providing specialist support to overcome barriers to learning and ensure highly positive outcomes. Experience of delivering interventions such as Attention Autism and LEAP is desirable, but training will be offered. The successful candidate will work closely under the direction of the school SENCos, contributing to a nurturing and inclusive setting where every child achieves, thrives and belongs.
The successful candidate will:
• plan and deliver high quality learning experiences for pupils which promote independence
• work flexibly and responsively, according to the needs of the learner
• be able to use their own initiative
• be a patient, reflective and resilient practitioner
• have excellent communication skills in order to develop positive relationships with children, staff and parents
• work well as part of a staff team
