About the Role
We are in the process of registering a new domiciliary care agency with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead and support the registration process and establish the service in line with regulatory requirements.
This is a part-time role, ideal for an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager looking for flexible working, or someone supporting multiple services.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the Registered Manager with the CQC for the domiciliary care service
• Lead and support the CQC registration process, including interviews and submission of required documentation
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks in line with CQC regulations and best practice
• Ensure compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities)
• Prepare the service for CQC inspection, embedding the 5 Key Lines of Enquiry (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, Well-led)
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and supervision of care staff as the service grows
• Promote a culture of high-quality, person-centred care
• Liaise with commissioners, stakeholders, and external professionals as required
Essential Requirements
• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in domiciliary care
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and registration processes
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
• Proven experience in policy writing, audits, and compliance
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities on a part-time basis
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Right to work in the UK
Desirable
• Experience supporting new service start-ups
• Experience with CQC registration interviews
• Existing relationship with local authorities or commissioners
