We are seeking applications from enthusiastic, experienced, and highly efficient individuals to join our dedicated support team as a Student Support Worker (Pastoral Support Officer).
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about student wellbeing and committed to making a positive impact within a nurturing school environment. While applicants do not need to be practising Christians, they must be willing to uphold and actively support the Christian ethos and values that underpin our school community.
The successful applicant will support students across the school in the following ways:
• Welfare, wellbeing, attendance and behaviour management
• Providing “on-call” support for behaviour
• Support the vertical tutor system and encourage student participation in school activities
• Engagement with key external agencies to ensure the safeguarding of all students is of the highest possible standard
There is also an expectation that the successful candidate will support first aid provision across the school. The required level of training will be provided for this element of the role.
We are heavily oversubscribed, indicative of the immense progress made by the school. We have high academic expectations and an aspirational ethos to transform the lives of our students. This is a wonderful opportunity for the successful candidate to join a talented, hardworking team who are committed to supporting students in achieving the best possible outcomes, both personally and academically.
If you are keen to find out more about this wonderful opportunity, or to arrange a visit to the school, please contact Charlotte Wells by email. Completed applications should also be returned via email. We do not accept CVs.
Wolverley CE Secondary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and as such expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
The deadline for receipt of completed applications is Monday 2nd February at 9am.
Interview dates are to be confirmed but will take place Thursday 5th February 2026.
