More detail about the role We are looking for compassionate and caring individuals who want to make a difference to people at a time in their lives when they have experienced significant trauma. Our crisis worker teams provide support to those over the age of 16 who have been sexually assaulted, or raped and need to access the SARC between the hours of 17:00 - 09:00, at the weekends and on occasion during 09:00 - 17:00. Crisis workers support patients who attend for a forensic medical assessment, acting as the patient advocate during their attendance at the SARC and ensuring that appropriate support is in place after the patient has left. You will work as part of a multi-agency team of Doctors and Forensic Nurses, providing high quality, trauma informed care. These posts will be based at one of our three sites; Exeter, Plymouth and Truro, depending on your location. Working Pattern: This is a bank position. Out of hours shifts start at 17:00 every evening and end at 9:00 the following day. Weekend shifts are split between the day 09:00 - 17:00 and then 17:00 - 09:00 and occasional daytime shifts to cover Lead Crisis Workers are 09:00 - 17:00.
