We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our chilled food manufacturing site based in Clitheroe!

Location: Clitheroe, BB7 1QD
Core Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 and Fridays 08:30-16:00 (fully site based role)
Salary: Up to £52,000 DOE
Purpose: Manage the storage, picking and distribution of finished goods, delivering against KPI targets within budget.
Your Duties Will Include:
* Manage time, labour, and resources effectively across warehouse, dispatch, and production-facing logistics activities to ensure
continuous, efficient performance.
* Control labour budgets, agreed manning levels, overtime, and associated costs; proactively identify and deliver cost-reduction
opportunities.
* Maintain, measure, and report operational and customer KPIs; analyse performance trends
* Own and deliver continuous improvement projects across warehouse and logistics operations.
* Liaise daily with Planning and Supply Chain teams to align labour, equipment, capacity, and operational requirements.
* Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, transport partners, and cold storage providers, including day-to-day
escalation, performance review, and longer-term demand planning.
* Ensure the effective use, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ERP and Warehouse Management Systems
* Promote and deliver Health & Safety, food safety, and quality standards across all warehouse and logistics functions, ensuring
audit readiness at all times.
* Manage, motivate, coach, and develop the workforce; identify talent, and support succession planning.
* Maintain and develop effective team structures to support operational and business needs.
* Lead people performance, disciplinary, grievance and absence reviews as required.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Experience:
* Previous experience in logistics, supply chain or warehousing management within a food environment
* Experience in a chilled food/short shelf-life product environment
* Budget management and cost reduction planning experience
Key Skills:
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
* Proficient in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
* Skilled in ERP and stock control systems
* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
* Strong understanding of KPIs and data-driven continuous improvement.
Qualities:
* Enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow.
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
* Adaptable and flexible to changing demands.
* Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills.
