We are looking for a Planning Team Leader to join our busy Planning Team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex projects, leading people, and keeping work moving in the right direction.
The Role
Our projects rely on strong planning, clear communication, and operational excellence. In this role, you’ll be involved from the very start of the project lifecycle, helping to map out what needs to be delivered, when, and with what resources. You’ll provide guidance, instruction, and direction to a team of planners, ensuring plans are accurate, achievable, and aligned with business and customer expectations.
You’ll act as a key link between departments and stakeholders, translating requirements into clear, concise work instructions to support smooth delivery and informed decision-making.

- Leading and supporting a team of planners, providing clear direction and day-to-day guidance
- Using recognised planning systems and processes to keep projects and programmes on track
- Monitoring progress against milestones and targets, identifying risks and opportunities early
- Updating internal and external stakeholders with accurate, timely information
- Ensuring reporting deadlines and customer protocols are met
- Resolving planning queries and escalating issues where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate planning data, systems, and project documentation

You are a detail-focused and forward-thinking planner who thrives in a fast-paced, pressurised environment. A strong organiser by nature, you enjoy bringing clarity to complex situations and take pride in delivering the right outcomes at the right time.
A team-focused communicator, comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and building strong relationships both internally and externally. Accuracy and attention to detail are important to you, and you enjoy keeping systems, plans, and documentation up to date.
An understanding of health and safety and Streetworks legislation, along with awareness of the commercial environment in which we operate, would be beneficial. Discretion, organisation, and a professional approach to handling information are essential.
