Summary

Our busy Aberdeen Timber Workshop manufactures industrial Timber & Plywood Crates for use by the oil and gas industry. This is a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment.
What we are looking for:
As a Driver / Yardperson Maker, you are required to safely and efficiently deliver goods to our customers, driving a 3.5 tonne van. At all times should work in a friendly, efficient, safe and compliant manner, providing the best level of customer care to our customers. Operate forklift Safely and efficiently load and unload vehicles on site. Ensure the Yard is safe, clean and organised always. Yard safety is very important and must be managed daily to suit the site business requirements each day.
Key responsibilities:
- Daily walk around vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Delivering to multiple customer sites - meeting the allocated delivery time slots
- Communicating with supervisors regularly to ensure customers are kept up to date with deliveries
- Ensuring all paperwork relating to the delivery is completed correctly and in a timely manner
- Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of your vehicle and all vehicles on site
- Adhere to all company and site rules & policies at all times
Knowledge and skills:- A full, valid driving licence (permitting you to drive a 3.5T vehicle) / entitlement for a minimum one year
- A counterbalance Forklift licence and / or bendi/pivot steer qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Abide by all Highway Code regulations
- Comply with all Health and Safety measures
Personal attributes:- Excellent communication skills - for communicating with workshops, office and customers
- Basic Computer / PC skills for delivery and transport requirements
- Attention to detail
- Quick decision-making skills
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
