Are you interested in entering the world of research? Do you want to contribute to evidence based practice? If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to join the Clinical Trials team based at Queen’s Hospital as part of the Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. This role offers you the chance to make a real difference to the delivery of research and gain valuable experience in clinical trials.
You will be supporting the Lead Clinical Trials Pharmacist and Clinical Trials Senior Technician in the delivery of a diverse portfolio of both commercially and non-commercially sponsored studies. You will organise the set-up of trials, management of ongoing studies, ensuring all current legislation, MHRA guidelines and Good Clinical Practice standards are met.
You must be a registered pharmacist and must have completed the Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or Module 1 of the Postgraduate Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice. You must be able to work with medical and nursing staff and other health care professionals.
We require an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist with good team working, communication and organisational skills. You must be hard working, accurate and have previous hospital pharmacy experience, (experience in clinical trials is desirable).

The post holder will provide support to the Clinical Trials team in pharmacy within Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust. To ensure all trials are conducted in accordance with the trial protocol and in accordance with ethics and the law; that they are dispensed accurately with optimum regard to patient safety and that all necessary records are made in the required format.

We run aWomen’s Health Hub in Ilford; anAgeing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) atBarking Community Hospital and atSt George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub. These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
