Temporary Finance Administrator (Entry Level)

Location: Manchester
Pay Rate: £13.13 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 (1 hour lunch)
Contract: Initial 3‑month temporary contract with strong potential to go permanent
Work Pattern: Fully onsite during training, with potential for hybrid working after the training period

About the role

We are currently recruiting a Finance Administrator to join a brilliant and well‑established financial services company based in Manchester. We are open to graduates or candidates with finance administrative/ administrative or some office experience who are keen to build a strong foundation in finance and administration.

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting the finance team with day‑to‑day administrative duties
  • Support with invoices, expenses, and basic financial documentation
  • Accurate data entry and maintenance of internal systems
  • Answering inbound calls and handling queries in a professional manner
  • Making outbound calls as required to follow up on information or payments
  • Managing general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and correspondence
  • Assisting with ad‑hoc tasks to support the wider office and finance function
Skills and experience
  • Previous finance administrative/administrative experience is advantageous but not essential
  • An interest in finance or financial services
  • Confident telephone manner and strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
