Summary
Vacancy – Supply Planner
About the role
You will be responsible for accurate stock management planning and forecasting for your range, managing optimum stock levels to ensure availability and profit targets are delivered.
Working closely with Senior Buyer in your area, you will analyse range performance, launch new products and deliver long-term improvements in availability and waste.
What you will do:
Forecasting & Inventory Planning:
• Proactively driving sales and availability through effective forecasting and inventory planning.
• Be responsible for managing and maintaining accuracy of all product and supplier data.
• Be accountable for availability and waste in your category
• Work cohesively with the wider Purchasing Team to ensure smooth seasonal product transitions and events planning i.e. Christmas
• Responsibility for any daily fluctuations in pricing and ensuring daily data accuracy.
Supplier Management:
• Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure delivery accuracy and our On Time, In Full, target is met.
• Conduct regular supplier service reviews.
• Ensure suppliers payments are on time.
Stakeholder Management:
• Effective communication and relationship building within operational IT and Sales Teams to ensure optimum stock management at every stage of the supply chain.
• Work with the Operations Teams to plan optimum supplier deliveries and collections across UK and Europe.
• Accountability for product quality through the supply chain and work with QC teams to drive continual improvement in quality and freshness.
What you will need:
• Experience in either buying assistant or supply planning role in food.
• Understanding of negotiation and supplier management
• Owner mentality with demonstrated experience of continuous improvement and implementing process change.
• Strong analytical skills and proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Proactive with high levels of initiative and ability to seek out opportunities.
