Crynodeb
An opportunity has arisen working for our well established, forward thinking Client based in Banbury for a Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or CLC qualified Conveyancer to join their Property Department. Salary up to £55k doe plus benefits. This is a full-time office based role.
The successful candidate will oversee and carry out all aspects of residential conveyancing, including freehold and leasehold work, sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, right to buy, shared ownership, new plot purchases.
Job Purpose
• Oversee and carry out all aspects of residential conveyancing including freehold and leasehold work, sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, right to buy, shared ownership, new plot purchases.
• Develop business opportunities within the Property Department & build a strong team
• Support the Head of Department as and when required
Key Responsibilities
• Undertake residential conveyancing work on behalf of clients of the Firm.
• Supervising and managing other Fee Earners & administration staff as necessary.
• Dealing with clients, intermediaries and HM Land Registry etc. both in person and over the telephone.
• File management to the standards defined by the Firm.
• Ensure budgets are managed & met.
• Undertake file audits within the team.
• Pro-active business development of self and Firm.
• Undertake continuing competency training to include compulsory CQS training.
Skills and Experience
• Qualified Solicitor, CILEX or CLC with residential conveyancing experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Business development skills.
• A sound knowledge of conveyancing procedures, CQS Protocol and AntiMoney Laundering legislation.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Case Management Systems.
• Good organisation, managerial and administration skills.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Driving licence and use of own vehicle essential.
