Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (dependent on experience)

The Role
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and committed Head of Mathematics to lead our successful and forward-thinking department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner or current middle leader to shape the strategic direction of mathematics teaching and learning within our school.
The successful candidate will have a clear vision for excellent mathematics education, strong subject knowledge, and the leadership skills to motivate both staff and students to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for the Mathematics department
Lead curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation across all key stages
Drive high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
Use data effectively to improve progress and close attainment gaps
Support, coach, and develop staff within the department
Promote enrichment opportunities and a positive culture around mathematics
Contribute to whole-school improvement and leadership initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be a qualified teacher with strong subject expertise in mathematics
Have a proven track record of excellent classroom practice
Demonstrate effective leadership or the clear potential to lead
Be committed to inclusive practice and high expectations for all learners
Have strong interpersonal and organisational skills
Be enthusiastic about working in a diverse and vibrant school community
