GUST Independent School is a small, nurturing specialist SEN school supporting pupils aged 6–17. With a maximum of 40 pupils, we offer a calm, personalised and inclusive learning environment where staff can truly make a difference.
We are seeking a passionate and skilled HLTA to join our supportive team. This is a rewarding role for someone committed to helping children and young people with SEND thrive.
The Role
Support teaching, learning and pupil development
Plan and deliver targeted interventions and some lessons
Provide tailored support aligned with EHCP and IEP targets
Build positive relationships and support behaviour and emotional regulation
Monitor and record pupil progress
Support the wider running of the school and school activities
About You
HLTA qualification (essential)
Experience in a SEN setting (highly desirable)
Confident delivering 1:1 and small-group learning
Calm, organised and committed to safeguarding
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
D1 minibus licence desirable but not essential
