Are you passionate about people and ready to make a real impact in healthcare? As an HR Advisor at Bolton Foundation Trust, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, efficient, and forward-thinking HR advisory service. You’ll work closely with managers, clinicians, and colleagues to support the Trust’s workforce agenda, ensuring the consistent application of policies and procedures underpinned by current employment legislation. You will be involved in a variety of employee relations including advising on attendance management issues, disciplinaries, early resolutions, capability, organisational change and job evaluation. You will also have the opportunity to support OD initiatives.
The successful candidate will have sufficient ‘hands on’ experience when supporting management with effective handling of employee relations issues and applying good employment practice within a unionised environment.
As a result, candidates should be CIPD graduate level or at minimum be working towards their final year of the CIPD qualification, level 5 and with HR advisory and employee relations work experience.
Whilst previous NHS experience is not essential it is desirable to show an understanding of the NHS terms and conditions.
The HR Team are based at the hospital site, with the ability to work agile. The ability to travel to other Trust sites across the Bolton Community is essential.
• Providing expert advice and support to managers on all HR matters, including employee relations, recruitment, retention, and workforce planning.
• Supporting the implementation of the Trust’s workforce strategy and contributing to the achievement of corporate objectives.
• Advising on pay, terms and conditions, and the application of employment law in a unionised environment.
• Supporting organisational change, job evaluation, and policy development.
• Promoting a positive employee relations climate and effective partnership working with staff side colleagues.
• Producing and analysing workforce information to inform decision-making and service improvement.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems, policies, and processes.
You will be supported with CPD opportunities including internal development, shadowing and opportunities to attend external events such as legal seminars and workshops.
