Summary
Immediate Requirement: Qualified Accountant / Finance Officer (Capital Accounting Specialist)
Location: HSC Setting
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Temporary ongoing
Banding: Flexible depending on qualifications & experience
We are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Accountant or Finance Officer to provide immediate support within our Finance Directorate. We are open to considering a range of banding levels, provided candidates meet the essential technical requirements outlined below.
Key Requirement - Capital Accounting Expertise
The successful candidate must have:
- Significant and demonstrable experience in Capital Accounting
- A strong background in working with complex assets, asset verification, and detailed asset records
- Recent or current experience using an asset management system, specifically Real Asset Management (RAM)
- The ability to work independently with high levels of accuracy and minimal supervision, particularly approaching and during year‑end
Candidates with previous experience in the public sector will be strongly preferred.
About the Role
This requirement is immediate, and while the assignment duration is yet to be defined, the individual must be capable of:
- Operating and navigating the asset management system confidently
- Providing independent support to the capital team
- Managing complex asset data
- Ensuring high‑quality reporting and compliance with relevant standards
