Are you a reliable, confident driver ready to make a difference in the daily operations of local healthcare? Mid and South Essex Hospital Trust is seeking a dedicated Transport Driverto support our essential services.
This is a part-time, fixed-term positionoffering flexible working hours across two days per week, covering the following shifts:
07:00 - 15:00
08:00 - 16:00
09:00 - 17:00
15:00 - 23:00
You will operate a Luton van equipped with a tail lift, managing both planned and ad-hoc routes across the Essex area. Your vital work involves the safe and timely delivery of goods, requiring competency in secure manual handling and lifting procedures.
You will need to be flexible to start your shifts from any of the following locations:
• Broomfield Hospital
• St Peters Hospital in Maldon
• Braintree Community Hospital
• Basildon Hospital
• Collect and deliver various medical items on scheduled routes and adhoc routes in the Essex area. This includes but is not exclusive to Specimens, Medication, Patient Records, Post and machinery
• Collect and deliver sterile services equipment, both clean and dirty
• Responsible for refuelling vehicles and carrying out basic vehicle mechanical checks, at least once per week, covering oil, fuel, brake fluid, water, tyres, lighting, windscreen wipers/washers, batteries, changing tyres, maintain vehicle in a clean state inside and out and reporting accident damage
• Drive safely to national legal requirement
• To deliver training to new starters within the Transport department
