Role and Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced Retrofit Assessor accredited with Elmhurst Energy to join our expanding Retrofit team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about advancing sustainable building practices. As part of the role, you will undertake retrofit assessments of dwellings in accordance with PAS 2035 including the production of RdSAP assessments, detailed floor plans, condition reports and occupancy reports. The Candidate will be able to help, assist and eventually manage:
• To undertake retrofit assessments in accordance with PAS 2035, the specification for the energy retrofit of domestic buildings.
• To provide specialist advice on energy efficiency and renewable energy measures to householders by phone, email and face to face.
• To provide administrative support to the delivery of projects.
• To maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions with clients.
• To provide enhanced retrofit advice to support a householder’s journey to a low carbon home
• To deliver retrofit focused home visits or surveys with minimal support.
• To help maintain and manage relationships with installers and builders to whom we refer clients for further support.
• To provide support to Retrofit Coordinators in the management of the retrofit project.
• To provide support to project managers in reporting on retrofit assessments
• To support others to maintain appropriate client confidentiality at all times in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
• To liaise with other staff in the Retrofit team to ensure effective workload planning, project development and delivery.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• Level 3 award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment. In addition, a Construction related qualification with experience within the construction industry would be preferable.
• Membership of a Trustmark Approved scheme.
Preferred Skills:
• Have 12-18 months experience in delivering Retrofit Assessment Services to clients
• Have an in-depth Knowledge of the Retrofit process and the roles of all stakeholders as identified within PAS 2035.
Additional Notes:
The role is primarily based in the Norfolk region of England with the UK-wide travel requirement and will sometimes require overnight stays away. The individual must have a UK driving license and an available vehicle for work purposes. Previous Domestic Energy Assessment experience is required.
