An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen in the Manchester's Children's Community Nursing Team (CCNT). Are you an experienced nurse with proven leadership skills looking for the next step in your career? We are seeking an excellent candidate for our Paediatric Matron B8a position to take up one of the two head of service positions in CCNT, and who jointly manage a portfolio of ten children's nursing teams. .

If you are an experienced, highly motivated, committed individual with management and leadership experience, and a passion for driving clinical quality, improving service delivery and initiating change in a busy community nursing environment - this could be the job for you!

In this role you will lead CCNT together with your Matron colleague and will have day to day operational responsibility for clinical governance, performance, staff, finance and information management for five of the ten paediatric nursing teams in CCNT. A good clinical knowledge base and breadth of nursing experience will enable to you apply operation management across multi-speciality paediatric nursing teams within your portfolio. You will work closely with the General Manager and Lead Nurse from the Children's Community Health Division, which is part of the Manchester Local Care Organisation.

To ensure successful management of your five teams, you need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a solution focused determination get the best from your staff, as well as the ability to apply problem-solving skills to address community setting challenges.

You are experienced in supporting change processes, coupled with your good influencing and negotiation skills to ensure CCNT service improvement and safe, high quality patient care for children and their families.

You are resilient, hard working and have a strong work ethic with the ability to manage complex situations and challenges. You are also organised, reliable and an effective leader with a professional outlook and expectations of high standards of care for all children and young people provided by your services - if this is you then this position is waiting for your application.
