Crynodeb
Promote health and prevent ill health to support people to improve and maintain their mental and physical health and wellbeing. Work in a team, playing an active role as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, collaborating and communicating effectively with nurses and a range of other healthcare professionals. Deliver care independently in line with a person's defined plan of care, within the parameters of the Nursing Associate role, accessing clinical and care advice when required. Signpost patients to other appropriate services or professionals as required for a person's care, having an awareness of the available support and services across other healthcare providers. Perform clinical tasks such as blood pressure monitoring, venipuncture, ECG recordings, urinalysis and specimen collection, wound assessment and dressing, BMI measurements, basic chronic disease monitoring, spirometry and micro suction. Ensure care environment is clean and tidy at all times and that IPC requirements are met. This includes (but is not limited to) being responsible for completing the room cleaning audit sheet at the end of a session and ensuring clinical waste is emptied and taken to the outside bin. Support with stock management and basic clinical audits.
