Minor Works Estimator - Main Contractor (Kent)

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established main contractor based in Kent, who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced minor works Estimator.

This is a great opportunity to join a busy and reputable contractor delivering a steady pipeline of minor works projects across a range of sectors. The role would suit an estimator who enjoys managing multiple tenders, working closely with delivery teams, and playing a key role in securing repeat business.

The Role:

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates for minor works projects

  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and scopes of work

  • Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotes

  • Identifying value engineering opportunities

  • Working closely with project managers and commercial teams

  • Assisting with tender submissions and negotiations

About You:

  • Previous experience as an Estimator, ideally within minor works or small projects

  • Background working for a main contractor

  • Strong understanding of construction pricing and procurement

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tenders at once

  • Confident communicator with a proactive approach

What's on Offer:

  • Stable workload with a reputable Kent-based contractor

  • Competitive salary and package (dependent on experience)

  • Supportive team environment with long-term career prospects

  • Opportunity to work on varied and interesting projects

If you're a Minor Works Estimator looking for a new opportunity with a respected regional contractor, I'd be keen to have a confidential conversation.
