Job Overview
We are seeking a Cleaner who will deliver excellent service standards while meeting Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements and adhering to agreed cleaning schedules.
In this role, you will ensure that offices and accommodation areas are kept clean, well maintained, and in safe working order, in line with all agreed SLAs. You will develop a strong understanding of the areas to be cleaned, the required cleaning schedules, and the correct use of all cleaning equipment and chemicals on the premises, while strictly following Health and Safety requirements.
You will be required to work effectively as part of a team, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently using your own initiative. The role involves building positive and productive working relationships with customers, delivering excellent customer service, and actively seeking opportunities to improve service delivery and exceed expectations continuously.
Key Responsibilities
-Ensure all cleaning equipment is kept clean, well-maintained, and in safe working order
-Complete cleaning tasks in accordance with agreed schedules and SLA requirements
-Develop and maintain knowledge of designated cleaning areas, equipment, and chemicals used
-Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and complete mandatory training as required
-Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
-Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times
Qualifications & Skills Required
-Ability to communicate and read basic English
-Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
-Flexible and proactive approach to work
-Open, honest, self-motivated, and determined attitude
-Reliable, hardworking and professional in appearance and conduct
Security & Compliance Requirements
-Compliance with Mitie's information security procedures is required, including proactive risk reporting and escalation of security incidents
-MOD security clearance and DBS Standard checks are mandatory
-To meet national security vetting requirements, applicants will normally need:
-5 years' UK residency for Security Clearance (SC)
-3 consecutive years of employment history
-Proof of the right to work in the UK is essential
-Less than 6 points on your driving licence
