Forklift Driver – Counterbalance
Location: Bourton-on-the-Water
Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £15.24 per hour
About the Role
We are currently recruiting experienced and reliable Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to support a busy manufacturing and warehouse operation based in Bourton-on-the-Water. This is a practical, hands-on role working across the factory floor, internal warehouse areas, and external loading bays, ensuring materials and finished products are moved safely, accurately, and efficiently.
You will be part of a supportive logistics and production team, working closely with supervisors and team leaders to keep daily operations running smoothly. The site operates modern forklift trucks with up-to-date safety features to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate counterbalance forklifts to move raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently
• Load and unload delivery vehicles in line with site procedures
• Support warehouse and production teams with stock movement, replenishment, and internal transfers
• Ensure materials are stored correctly and securely
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working area in line with health and safety regulations
• Carry out daily forklift checks and report any faults or damage
About You
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (refreshed within the last 3 years)
• Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment
• Strong attention to detail with a safety-first mindset
• Good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Basic numeracy skills and understanding of health & safety practices
• Experience handling long, bulky, or fragile items is desirable but not essential
Additional Information
• Manual handling will be required
• PPE must be worn at all times
• Due to the site location and start times, own transport is essential
