Electrical Site Manager

Cambridge
£25.00 per hour + overtime
Van & Fuel Card Provided

I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established electrical contractor currently delivering major projects in Cambridge. They are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee electrical packages on large-scale developments.

This opportunity would suit a Site Manager with experience on complex builds. A background working with Tier 1 contractors is highly desirable, however strong candidates from reputable Tier 2 contractors with relevant project experience will also be considered.

Project Types
  • Commercial developments

  • Student accommodation

  • Care homes

  • Large multi-room / multi-storey projects

    Key Responsibilities
    • Day-to-day management of electrical works on site

    • Managing labour, subcontractors, and materials

    • Coordinating with the main contractor and other trades

    • Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard

    • Maintaining site documentation and quality control

      Pay & Package
      • £25.00 per hour basic rate

      • 37.5 contracted basic hours per week

      • Overtime paid at £37.50 per hour (time and a half) after 37.5 hours

      • Typical working week of 44 hours

      • Holiday pay based on 9 hours per day

      • Company van and fuel card included

If only basic hours are worked, the equivalent annual salary is £61,425, with clear opportunity to earn more through overtime beyond the standard 44-hour week.

        Ideal Candidate
        • Experience working as an Electrical Site Manager or Supervisor on similar projects

        • Tier 1 contractor experience preferred but not essential

        • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

        • SMSTS, ECS/CSCS, and relevant electrical qualifications advantageous

This is a long-term opportunity with a strong pipeline of work in Cambridge.
