Summary

Project Officer - Grade 10 - Temporary 6 month position until 31st July 2026
Awaabs Law came into force on 27th October 2025. This new legislation requires all social landlords to attend and remedy all reported instances of damp, mould and other stated emergency and significant hazards within strict mandatory timeframes, along with increased customer communication and case management requirements. In response to this legislation, a dedicated team has been created within Housing Investment Services (HIS) which initially consists of 3 x Surveyors, 2 x Customer Care officers and 2 x Contract Delivery Officers who all have a dedicated role to ensure we are legally complaint and providing the best customer focused response possible. This team is supported as required from the wider HIS team.
In order to ensure we are legally compliant and to provide the team with the support they need with the new ways of working, an opportunity has arisen for a Project Officer (Grade 10), temporary 6 month secondment, who will be responsible for the day to day management of the team, overseeing complex casework, and embedding regulatory and policy requirements into organisational practice, but most importantly, supporting and coaching the team with the daily challenges that arise.
The ideal candidate will have good project management skills, be able to build effective working relationships across Neighbourhoods and Housing, in addition to problem solving ability and strong analytical skills. Surveying/technical experience is not essential.
We look forward to receiving your application if you would like the opportunity to try something new, make your mark and showcase your skills.
