Our client, an esteemed educational institution in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-time SEND / SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. This exciting role offers a competitive daily rate of £89 and the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners.

As a Part-time SEND / SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting students with special educational needs and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Your role will involve providing individualised assistance, facilitating engaging learning activities, and collaborating with teachers to ensure each student's unique needs are met.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual who thrives in a nurturing, inclusive environment. Ideally, you will have previous experience working with SEND and SEMH students, as well as a deep understanding of the strategies and approaches required to help them reach their full potential.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEND and SEMH needs
- Assist with the delivery of tailored learning programmes and interventions
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students
- Facilitate engaging and enriching learning activities that cater to diverse learning styles
- Monitor and record student progress, contributing to assessments and reporting
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Relevant experience working with SEND and/or SEMH students
- Strong understanding of SEND and SEMH needs and the strategies to address them
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting the holistic development of students
- Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or a related field would be advantageous
