Summary
Mechanical Design Engineer - Fire Suppression / Oil and Gas
Nottingham or Wymondham, Norwich
Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week in the office
Duration – 6 months
Bill rate – max £44 p/h
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mechanical Engineer to join our Fire Suppression and Production Systems department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, understanding of industry standards, engineering calculations, documentation and design. This role involves designing engineering solutions, liaising with internal & external stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of various mechanical solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards (CAFS, INERT fire Suppression Systems, HPU, Chemical Injection Packages etc).
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Proven knowledge of the product design.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
• Excellent organisational skills
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work under pressure
