You will support and encourage communication. A key part of the role is helping to develop confidence and social skills through positive interaction and meaningful engagement.
The role includes supporting the individual to access the local community, including social activities and going shopping. Encouraging independence. You will encourage and support participation in exercise and physical activities.
The individual requiring support can often miss hazards, providing close supervision to ensure her safety at all times. Additionally when out and about you will need to walk arm in arm with her.
