Looking for a job where your skills matter and your work makes a real impact? We’re proud to be a trusted local employer providing a family-friendly culture alongside great benefits, and real opportunities to grow
We are seeking a Repairs Supervisor to lead and optimise a team of Repairs Engineers, ensuring repairs to GCH properties are delivered in line with our Customer Commitment and performance, quality, and safety standards. Working collaboratively with fellow supervisors, you will carry out property inspections, manage scheduling diaries, take ownership of complex repair cases, and diagnose intricate repairs and hazards, making informed recommendations for required works to ensure all GCH homes are safe, warm, and decent.
You will be accountable for Health & Safety across all works, ensuring activities are carried out safely and in accordance with policies and procedures. This includes leading regular toolbox talks with engineers and working in partnership with other supervisors to drive service improvements and share best practice.
The Repairs Supervisor will also conduct regular 1:1s, van and materials audits, and provide ongoing support and coaching to help engineers realise their full potential in line with company policies.
We’d like you to…
Hold an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade, such as Plumbing or Electrical Installation.
Hold a recognised Management or Supervisory qualification, or equivalent experience.
Have proven experience within the repairs or property maintenance sector, with strong all-round knowledge of maintenance and construction.
Have demonstrable experience leading, managing, motivating, and developing small teams of Repairs Engineers in a similar environment.
Have experience managing team and individual performance and productivity, delivering positive outcomes for both customers and the business.
Have practical knowledge of responsive repairs and repair diagnostics.
Have a strong track record of delivering excellent customer service, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Have sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
Have good IT literacy and numeracy skills, including experience using mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, and PDAs.
Be able to plan and organise workloads effectively, making best use of time and resources.
Have working knowledge of the social housing sector, including the HHSRS framework and property-related risks.
Closing Date: 17th February 2026.
GCH reserve the right to bring the closing date forward should enough quality applications be received prior to the current closing date.
