Green Pebble publishes artwork, often by some of East Anglia’s leading artists, as greeting cards and gifts. Our cards are sold all over the country, USA, Australia and to a few other countries abroad. We are a small but bustling family company, employing 14 people in the office and embracing a full range of digital technologies to achieve our goals. We have several sales agents (in the UK and abroad) and licence the works of art of scores of artists. There is a friendly atmosphere in the office, which is located just outside Beccles, Suffolk and has plenty of parking available.
We are looking for a Digital Services administrator to help:
• solve technical problems that pop up from time to time with our digital infrastructure (online and offline, software, network and hardware), eg;
o Updates that change deep settings
o Moving email accounts and keeping copies of past emails
o Installing new over-the-counter digital devices
• Researching apps for our critical business software to help improve business operations
• keep our online security up to scratch and ensuring individual PCs follow secure procedures
• Populate and maintain our two websites
• Optimise our SEO
• Help deliver social media marketing
• Help find suitable partners for large and complex digital projects
• Support our databases – ACCESS and MySQL
Our digital infrastructure is all relatively new – approx. within the last 5 years and includes:
• An internal network of 8 PCs plus associated peripheral devices
• Critical business activities rely on the following 3rd party software:
o Shopify plus related apps
o Webkul (online marketplace),
o Quickbooks,
o Iris
o Microsoft Windows and Office,
o UK2.Net
o Photoshop,
o Quark Xpress,
o Dropbox and
o Avast
• Two websites both on Shopify platforms using a “content synchronization” app
To begin with the work will be conducted at the office, from 9am to 1pm, Mon to Fri (20 hours per week). Once the successful applicant has settled into the team some of the work may be done remotely. Rate of pay will be commensurate with experience but around £14 per hour or a full time equivalent of £29,000 pa.
Please apply by email to michael@greenpebble.co.uk
