Crynodeb
Deliver specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of evidence-based Speech and Language Therapy interventions for patients with communication and swallowing disorders, across a variety of settings such as outpatient clinics, care homes, and patients own homes. Be responsible and accountable for managing an individual caseload, ensuring that care plans are accurately documented, implemented, and regularly reviewed. Contribute to the prioritisation of the waiting list for Speech and Language Therapy, ensuring equitable and timely access to services. Provide specialist knowledge on alternative and augmentative communication systems, ensuring appropriate access and training for relevant agencies and staff. Identify, allocate, and supervise the work of a Speech and Language Therapy assistant as required. Deliver training and support to staff teams regarding individual patients needs, including strategies and management plans. Actively contribute as a collaborative and proactive team member by participating in service improvement activities, promoting innovation and supporting colleagues.
