Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)

Are you an experienced project management professional looking to lead a high‑performing PMO and make a real organisational impact? We are seeking a PMO Manager to join our Planning, Performance and Risk team and help drive delivery of our operational and strategic priorities across JRF and JRHT.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the direction of project delivery across two influential organisations, support meaningful social change, and lead a talented team committed to making a difference.

About the role

As our PMO Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Planning, Performance and Risk to oversee, coordinate and support the organisation’s programme of operational and strategic projects. You’ll play a pivotal role in embedding a consistent, effective project management framework across the organisation—enabling our teams to deliver key organisational and strategic outcomes.

You will lead a small team of project professionals and act as a central point of reference for project standards, reporting, governance, risk management and organisational learning. Through high‑quality oversight and continuous improvement, you will help shape how projects are initiated, planned, monitored and delivered across JRHT and JRF.

You’ll work with senior teams to develop plans and agree the pipeline of projects to be delivered - prioritising requirements to meet regulatory, strategic and operational demands.

About you

This role is perfect for a bright, inquisitive and proactive individual looking to make an impact across the entire organisation. It goes without saying that you’ll bring robust experience of project management within complex, multi‑stakeholder environments and be confident influencing and engaging colleagues across all levels, either in a PMO capacity or as an experienced project manager.

A self-starter, you will need to have strong analytical skills, able to handle large volumes of data, whilst keeping project reporting simple and relevant.

Excellent communication skills will be key, as will your ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, in particular at senior level.

With good knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques and analytical tools you will be able to apply these in a pragmatic and flexible way and ensure a project management approach is embedded through monitoring metrics and performance reporting to the executive.

How to apply

If you share our passion and this role sounds like you, then we’re looking forward to hearing from you.

Please submit your CV and supporting information via our online application platform.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 11th February 2026.

Interviews will take place on Friday 27th February 2026.

We reserve the right to bring the closing date forward should enough quality applications be received prior to the current closing date.

Additional Information

Applications are welcome from all, regardless of age, disability, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, religion or belief, race, sex, sexual orientation, trans status or socioeconomic background.

We positively encourage applications from people from marginalised backgrounds, including but not limited to those with experience of living in poverty.

We are committed to being an anti-racist organisation and operate an anonymised recruitment process so that bias is eliminated from the shortlisting process.

In support of our approach to flexible working, we are happy to receive applications from those seeking full-time employment, as well as those who may want to share the role on a part-time basis. When making your application, please state whether you want to be considered for either full or part-time work and, if part-time, the number of hours per week you would be looking for.

At JRF we’re at our best when we’re continually building on trust, showing we care and making a difference – and hope others will do the same. So, for those roles which allow it, we’re developing a more blended approach to how and where you work. This means you can expect to work flexibly between the office and home (with an expectation of two days a week in your home office).
