What skills and experience we're looking for
Torquay Academy is seeking a proactive ICT Engineer to join our ICT team. Our mission is to transform the life chances of children in Torquay by ensuring everyone succeeds, driven by our core values of Hard Work, Integrity, and Pride. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a network of end-user devices—including laptops and Chromebooks—managing user accounts, and installing hardware and software across the school, alongside many other critical roles. We are a school that utilises the Google Workspace for Education as our primary platform.
The successful candidate will provide essential technical support for teaching and learning, from setting up presentation equipment for assemblies to ensuring digital compliance during examinations. You must possess at least 5 GCSEs (Grade C/5 or above) in English and Mathematics and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills across various hardware and software issues.
